10 Things Everyone Hates About Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades – The Item Upgrader Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade. The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version. Recycle Points The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments. You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date. The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105. Valorstones Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials. The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies. Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests. Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and a drawback. In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. When item upgrades has an upgrade to a particular item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less, even if they belong to a different gear set. The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available when certain milestones are achieved. Crests When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a couple of choices. They can use Flightstones that are a common upgrade currency that is available to all, or crests, which are more specialized and are used to upgrade specific levels of the item. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks. First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for gear of a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded. Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps. The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot. Another notable change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the best equipment available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
